长期从事精密传动与制造、数控技术和面齿轮传动技术等方面研究。主持完成了多项国家自然科学基金、国家863、航空科学基金等国家及部委重点课题,取得多项国家发明专利,发表论文40余篇,出版著作3本。对齿轮切齿加工、啮合性能分析、高速轮齿行波振动机理、轮齿应力的精确计算与测试实验、复杂工况条件下动力摩擦润滑过程、齿轮专用机床装备等技术等方面进行了深入研究,在齿轮传动、摩擦润滑、齿轮精密制造、数控技术方面形成了自己的特色与优势,取得了一系列先进的研究成果,并在多种型号发动机、直升机传动系统得到了应用。获中国航空总公司科学技术进步二等奖一次,沈阳市科学技术进步三等奖一次,yl6809永利官网科技进步二等奖一次。培养研究生三十余名,多已成为军工院所研究骨干,与国内外主要传动研究机构建立了良好合作关系。
